Bariloche is on the border of Chile and we can't be more excited! We've seen more hills and mountains in the past few days than we have in the past month.

Lorne has been moaning all holiday about how he wants a pair of shoes different to his Solomon walking trainers, but his face shone when we entered all the outdoor and mountaineering shops today looking for some cheap sleeping bags to take to the next workaway place.  Face. Beaming. With his Rab jacket, walking shoes and mountain warehouse trousers. "I totally look the part here" he mused!

The town is built on a lakeside, which today looked wild, the wind slicing through us and the weather dreach and drookit.

We managed a quick walk around the town which is everything a Swiss town would be - wooden chalets, ski and snowboard shops, outdoor gear shops selling everything from fishing roads to ski-doo's.  And chocolate - a chocolate shop on every corner, all local and all delicious looking.  We're not big chocolate eaters but we succumbed to the sales assistants charms and bought a 300g tray of different flavoured chunks of the stuff, it really is delicious.  Some shop windows even had St Bernard toy dogs in it but I've not checked yet to see if they were actually used here.

Because of the poor weather and because this town is obviously set up for tourists, we spent our first afternoon at the cinema watching "Trolls" in Spanish and the second day playing tin-pin bowling which the kids enjoyed, Axel more so because he beat his mum, but it was a fluke and it won't happen again.

Our Airbnb is a really cosy bungalow and we're glad to have the comfort, space and warmth because we were getting a bit used to the hot weather and not so used to this cold 15 degrees.

Tomorrow we head to Puerto Montt in Chile and then our next workaway farm.  Hopefully the weather will be slightly better but not holding out much hope. The Internet is limited there too so you might not hear much from us for a couple of weeks!
